Jamie,
I'll start by channeling our mentors and advise you to get a copy of the Service Manual. In the meantime, I quote from the description of basic operation for what is supposed to happen:
"After the record has been played, the pickup arm moves into the cut-off grooves. At this point an arm on the pickup arm pivot bearing (60) actuates the reversing switch (51). The reversing control relay (70) in the mechanism junction box (46) will then become energized, reversing the …
[View More]transfer motor."
I would start by first checking to see if the mechanism will return the record if you push the record cancel pushbutton. If so, your problem is probably the reversing switch itself. if not, I would look at the reversing control relay to see if its contacts are closing to send power to the transfer motor.

Hello all,
I am still struggling with my AMI D-40. I still cannot get the record to
return to the record rack. I am a novice in most cases however I am
wondering if it could be the mechanism junction box? I'll try to attach a
video if that helps. Please I'll take any help. As always thank you all for
your help and replies.

Hi,
I have a Wurlitzer 2300 jukebox with a broken cartridge. How can I remove
the sound arm from the jukebox so that I can fit a replacement sound box to
it. What kind of sound box should you put in it?
My faithful E120 will not cut off at the end of a record, and the cancel
switch will not return the record to the rack either.
I've got DC --- so after manually turning the armature to return the record
to the rack and sort of "reset" to start, I could make a
selection, and a record would play, but again, no cut-off trip and cancel
button does not cancel. Any ideas out there?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone care to fill me in on a wholesale price for a vinyl OMT. Supposed
to be in near mint condition. I forgot to ask if it has color cylinders
or those stupid twinkle lights.
If you don't care to post prices you are welcome to email me off the list.
Thanks,
Tony
The M44MR is a perfect fit.
You can tailor your C or 7 to fit by slicing away carefully the top plastic around the 2 screw mounts and then it will sit up in the arm recess the same as the MR does. It adjusts much easier then in terms of not hitting the gripper arm, and raising the correct height when the song has ended.

And that's another trouble I was having, the body of the M44-7 I have
now it's just a little bit too narrow to fit correctly.
I'll look for the M44-MR, there's some web site selling it...?
