Rockola CD Fireball Mechanism Question

Hello, I know it is rather difficult to find anyone with first hand knowledge of the Rockola Fireball CD model B - X, but, I am hoping. The CD selection mechanism is like the Soundleisure one, where 100 CDs stand side by side about 3mm apart and the lifting arm lifts them vertically adn transports the CD to the middle where the CD Pro player is located. The Cd is played vertically. Is anyone familiar with setting in the menu system that allows a slight adjustment to the location of pickup and placement of the CD's . I know I have seen, that in the menu system somewhere, there was a strange setup number in the menu. The display showed two rows of numbers separated by spaces. I remember that if, when at this location of the menu, if I hit certain numbers, the mechanism would creep left or right ever so slightly, like a micro adjustment. Is that how one would adjust the mechanism? IF, adn I probably did, I moved the mechanism slightly out of adjustment, would a factory reset set it back? An, oh by the way, the issue is that occasionally now, it does not pickup or set back the CD properly. Typing these issues is always difficult for me. (You cannot see my hands moving when I am talking - lol) Thanks in advance to all in this group!Ron

Seeburg Black Box

Seeburg PFEA1 Selection issue

I’m currently troubleshooting an issue on this Seeburg Electra. The machine has credit on, latch solenoid engaged. Attempt any selection, buttons latch and stay down, carriage scans but the buttons do not release. Looking in the manual this machine came with an APU3 ( pricing unit) but this one has a UDPU4 installed. I checked, cleaned all leaf switches on the ES but having trouble determining where the fault lies. Is it possible that this universal pricing unit is not compatible with this machine? It doesn’t seem that it would be as the plugs match the sockets correctly Regards Rick

Conti 2 wiring query.

Hi all, This enquiry came to me from a customer in New Zealand. I have bought a Continental 2 juke box and found that one of the wires that go on to the terminal strip part # F-5604 via the resistor were broken. The problem I have is I'm not sure where they solder back on to, one (yellow wire) looks like it goes to the 7 watt or the 20 watt resistor, and the other wire (black) bridges across the relay, but again not sure of the position of the broken end of the wire. I have the manuals but they do not show where the wires are attached to, can you help me with this? I'm also looking for the Relay assembly for that model, it is the relay on the selector, and part number in the manual is H-3303C. Hi, trying to recall what value bridge rectifier should be used in the power supply? I think a 20 amp is overkill. If I remember right, about a 10-15 amp one? thanks, Jim

A lot packed into that reply! I have not serviced any of these newer boxes, just a hobbyist here, and never noticed the backwards cartridge. The tone arm on the “wrong” side always totally confused me as to “why” but never thought about how the cartridge would have to be turned around. So, yesterday I went over to my buddy’s house that has a Rowe Bubbler, and sure enough, backwards! Funny story you shared with turning the cart the “right” way! So now I really don’t understand why they would think of putting the tone arm over there for yet another reason! The first is “it looks wrong” and after all, they were building something that most people obviously watch… the unconcealed mech… it’s a part of the whole experience to watch the jukebox play… and oh, let’s put the tone arm on the wrong side, people won’t be bothered or notice much. Really? Anyway, thanks for getting me to notice the cartridge! As far as wiring on the cartridge, that reminded me of the screwey wiring on the Cont 2 cartridge, probably the same deal. W1100 Selection Reset arm gets Stuck on Pin

I’ve been working on a friends Wurlitzer model 1100 and got most of the issues sorted out but sometimes the little arm that searches for the raised pin gets caught up and can’t move or reset the pin. This causes the turntable to stay in the raised position and spin. I have been through the manual a few times and it doesn’t really address this well, I know it’s a pretty common issue for those that know these machines well, so thought I’d just ask instead of fumbling around even more. Also the end of record trip switch doesn’t work but by looking at the schematic that might just be a fuse. I won’t be back at his place until Saturday so I have some time to figure it out.
