Seeburg M100A Cartridge Rebuilding or Replacements
by Andrew Burkhart 01 Mar '23

Hi All, What is the current state of getting a M100A cartridge for 78's rebuilt, is anybody doing it these days? Or a how to video? What about a suitable replacement option, anything available? And, I have seen someone on eBay selling what they are calling a "Goldhead" version M100A cartridge that is supposed to be a better version than the original M100A cart. https://www.ebay.com/itm/125705684214?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357 -0&ssspo=zzkaQTozRxG&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=nkF-5HtBSgi&widget_ver=artemis&medi a=COPY Is that a legit thing? Thanks! Andrew

Seeburg Wall Box 3W1
by johngartman＠charter.net 28 Feb '23

Gentlemen, I have been on this list for a long long time, have 4 jukeboxes AMI-C, Wurlitzer 2700, and a Seeburg HF100R and an M100A. I have just picked up a 3W1 to hopefully hook up to my HF100R. Looking it over it looks like it only needs the glass dome and coin glass. Ordered from Victory Glass. I do not know much about Wall Boxes yet there is some information in my HF100R Manual. Some Questions for the Group. Looking for Gasket for the dome glass I see a set for sale for the 3WA 200 selection are they the same? I am a little confused on a Stepper? Or is that a Wurlitzer thing? Does the 3W1 just plug in to the selection receiver? I will get into the manual as soon as I have a little more time. Thanks for any help or advice you can share. Testing a W1500 amplifier with a newer mechanism?
by M De Simone 28 Feb '23

Here’s a fun one! I have need to test a Wurlitzer 516 amplifier from a model 1500 but the jukebox is 2 hours away. I have a mech from a 1700 or 1800 set up that I use for testing amplifiers from about models 1800 to 2300. The 516 amplifier uses an 11 pin plug to the amplifier as does say, the 530 amplifier from a model 1900 but when I compare the schematics they appear very different. Would anyone know if I can test this amp with this mech? I do realize the 1500 uses a field coil speaker and I have an adapter for this purpose. I just don’t want to smoke any components and am concerned. Thanks, Mauro Sent from my crowded garage/shop

Ami D40 cart question
by Jukebox Repairman 28 Feb '23

I just received the above machine for repairs. It has been converted to 45 RPM PLAY utilizing the blue adapters. Mech gripper was really froze up tight. Worse one ever. That’s all set now and I was testing the mechanics by manually tripping the pinbank. The tonearm dropped to the record and after a few seconds the cartridge fell out dangling on the tonearm wire. Upon closer inspection the cartridge was held in the tonearm with a wad of now dried and hardened putty. What would be the best option for replacement cartridge for this considering it’s been converted? Thanks Rick

Seeburg STD3 selection problem
by Doug Vachon 25 Feb '23

Hi, I'm working on a Seeburg STD3 wiith a selection problem. All selections work using the battery trick but when I make a selection with the keyboard, any selection where the third digit is 9, I get 0. If I select 119, it scans and picks up 110. !29 I get 120 etc. I have the manual and Ron's microlog book. I think I read somewhere in one of the books that if it's a single selection, It's in the keyboard. Would anyone know what I would be looking at? I don't see a loose or broken wire. Thanks, Doug

I have a Mills Do Re Mi that is without a selection (carousel) drive motor. I have acquired one but need help wiring it in. The motor has four wires (two of course for the AC). Any diagram or drawing directing me where each of these go would be appreciated. Ascott822(a)aol.com. Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS

Rowe CCC repair 6-08870-06
by Tony Miklos 11 Feb '23

11 Feb '23

I have a darn I forget the model (R-86?), but it has a 6-08870-06 CCC with a very odd problem. After fixing up some battery corrosion, it would power up and play whatever selection it had stopped at, then when that cancels, it proceeds to play both sides of every record. The only way to stop it is to press the "clear selection memory" button. At first I didn't have a battery in it and thought maybe on power up one of the two 5101 rams are getting *confused*. I added a battery and it seemed to have cured the problem. Then yesterday it started doing it again. I do have a small quantity of 5101's in stock. Thanks, Tony
