End of 2023, Sound Leisure and Gudrun Wurlitzer found a license agreement for the name "Wurlitzer" to produce the "Wurlitzer 1015 Tribute" jukebox. https://soundleisure.com/sound-leisure-wurlitzer-tribute-1015/ Gibson doesn't own Wurlitzer any more, Wikipedia is not up to date it seems. The German Wurlitzer company, belonging for Gibson, is gone since March 2016 already. In 2018 Gibson filed for insolvency which luckily it could be prevented finally. But I think they gave up the Wurlitzer section at that time. The trademark law was then taken over by Gudrun Wurlitzer, her daughter and her son in 2020. They all belong to the German branch of the Wurlitzer family, and Gudrun Wurlitzer is co-owner of the "Herbert Wurlitzer clarinet manufacture". Kind regards - Hildegard

Wurlitzer 780 blows amp fuse

I’m still trying to trace down the issue. Box was playing fine a month ago. Recently it blows amp fuse as record comes up. In trial and error tests I have found that it doesn’t blow with speaker unplugged. Suggestions. Thank you, Allen Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS

AMI Continental 1 stops at all records then rejects them immediately

I have a Continental 1 which was working fine and I decided it was time to replace the ac chords on the mechanism. I removed the mech, removed the turntable and the gripper motors, replaced the zip chords and put it back together. It started picking every selection and immediately rejecting them as soon the needle made contact so I figured I had to reset the transfer motor as per the service manual. I did so carefully and adjusted all 6 microswitches but the problem still persist. It also seems the gripper and record are a bit out of alignment. Before I start adjusting everything and potentially worsening the issue I thought it best to deal with the selection and rejection issue first. I have reread the manual but still have no idea what could cause this? The end of record switch is not activated. Looking to the group for some guidance here. Rockola 490 Amplifier Transistor

I’m out of my “tube amp” comfort zone here but, a very good freind asked if I could help him out. The amplifier is from a model 490 and the complaint was no sound left channel. I have been through the amp and found 2 blown fuses F3 and F4 which relate to the left channel and 1 shorted output transistor Q15. I know in 70’s Seeburg amps usually the drivers go with it and best to replace drivers and power transistors but in this case all others are fine, hoping someone who is familiar with this amplifier can tell me if there are any other components that would be taken out with this or if I’m good to replace the power transistor and fuses and go test? AMI H 200 Selection Issues

Hi all, Once again out of my comfort zone. I'm supposed to be retired but every now and then I get talked into something. In this case it is an AMI model H 200 select. I solved a couple of simple issues that resulted from improper transportation. Tonearm had jumped out of place preventing gripper from completing its travel down to the turntable. Records out of place preventing carousel from rotating. After cleaning most of the switch contacts selection buttons latch, pulse generator rotates, buttons release but converter doesn't move, no pins are pushed and carousel does not move. Carousel will rotate using scan button. If I manually push a pin and activate scan button a few seconds carousel will turn to that pin, stop, lay record on turntable and put it right back. Jukebox owner is 30 miles from me so I'd like to be armed with a few idea before going back. After leaving the other day it occurred to me that maybe when I reset the tonearm somehow I snagged the end of record switch into a constate of being closed. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Also I am a recent transplant to SW Florida, Fort Meyers area so all of the guys I used to refer these older electro-mechanical jukebox owners to back in Georgia aren't much help. Seeburg M100A Pickering Cartridge

I’ve read about the M100A Pickering cartridge, it needing to be rebuilt, and I have questions. Will all original carts need to be rebuilt at some point? What fails in the cart that causes it to need rebuilding? After a proper rebuild (say from Wes-Tech Services) has anybody had to have it rebuilt again? How long will it last (very roughly) after a rebuild? Besides Wes-Tech, who else rebuilds these? Every now and then there’s someone on eBay selling some sort of goop and instructions to rebuild this. Anybody here go this route? How well did it work? My cartridge is still working and I believe it has not been rebuilt since it has the original black rivet. I may have read about some of this in the Jukebox-list archives before they were lost. Hopefully, the responses will help add this info back to the group. Andrew

Seeburg KD amplifier bench test

Can I bench test a Seeburg KD amplifier? I’ve never attempted it before. I have a jig setup for testing other Seeburg amps, it’s plug and play, I have the whole back door. It seems that if I just attach speakers, an input and plug it in it should be the same but thought I’d check here to see if my thoughts are correct. Q160 pickup past A1

HI Yes I have owned the jukebox for years. I recently had the mech out of the machine because the record transfer arm was seized on it's pivot point. I gave the mech a good lube job. It sat not used for a couple of years. I guess I could have disturbed the contact block. I'll check it out. I have the service manual. Thanks Bob

Hello All, Tried to search archives but it refuses to load. I'm sure I'm not the first person to plug in a proplayer back wards but I bet I'm the first person who sure as heck knows better and did it anyway. Back before I retired when an employee did it I had plenty spare parts around, swapped it out and had another employee fix it. Things are different now and I did it to TWO computers before I realized what I had done, and this is my sister's jukebox. Hi I have a q160, that will select, pickup,play, and put back,all selected records except A1. It scans past A1,and stop's to pickup a ghost record,when scanning from right to left. Ideas please? Thanks Bob

Seeburg M100A Pinbank Issues

After having much success with getting a couple of Rockola machines operational, I am now getting into the Seeburg world! I have a Seeburg M100A that was converted to 45 play with the CalCoin kit, and which I intend to convert back to 78. I have 2 manuals for the machine, one from Victory Glass (the nicer manual) and the other from Jukebox Arcade (has some extra info than the VG one). My machine has two issues as I can tell: 1. When making any selection, the selected pin is not moving into the play position. I can manually trip a pin and the machine will go to that selection and play. 2. After playing a selection, the record is put back in the rack but the pin is not canceled, and the mech will search and go to the same selection to play. I manually cancel the pin and the mech will stop, as it should. The credit system is adding credits with coins as it should, and removing credits when a selection is made. And the amp is working well. I do not have an analog VOM yet, but one is coming soon, and I believe I need that to help diagnose this issue from what I have read on various forums. I am seeking guidance for the two issues presented above, and would like to know if the subsequent models B and/or C are in any way similar to the Model A as to the pinbank operation when searching for info on the web. I have also ordered Ron Rich's mech guide, although, it may not cover my specific model - I am hoping there may be enough info to help at some point. I measured the various solenoid resistances and they are within range, and free moving. What should I look at first after I get the analog VOM? TIA! Andrew

Wurlitzer 546B amp

I have a strange one here. A wurlitzer 2910 with a 546B amp (what is a "B" mean?) The amp looks near perfect with a square wave on a scope, but in the juke with that weird speaker set up, it's missing something. First I found that when the amp is set to Mono, the volume goes way down. Changing the bass treble and balance seem to do not much at all. Swapping left and right phone input plugs, showed that one channel on the cartridge was real weak. I put a new cartridge in it and although it sounds a lot better, it really acts strangely when adjusting the bass and treble. depending on the other channels settings, if I lower the bass on the other channel, it gets way more bass, I mean a lot more bass! Moving those switches just makes it do some really weird stuff. No rhyme or reason to it. I did clean them and on the bench, everything looked and acted fine. I don't think there is any crossover except a cap on the one midrange/tweeter that I need to replace. The way the treble is sounding, that cap may be shorted. Now that my back is feeling a little better I'll replace it. From the parts manual I think it's a 22uF bi-polar. What a weird setup. Two different types of 12" speakers and one mid-high range. There is room and even slots cut for another mid-high range but no mounting holes or studs. -- Tony Miklos Tony's Jukebox Repair

Rock-Ola 1446 for sale

I have a Rock-Ola 1446 with a deadbeat owner. I've had it stored for almost 10 years and would like to get it out of my way. It was/will be working, the cabinet is finished in oak veneer and the inside painted. The top side of the machine mech, shroud, side panels, mirrors are all done. and everything works. The front door is not done at all, it's in worn condition but I think the grill is very nice. Unfortunately I can't find the pics right now and it will be a bear to pull out and unwrap. So until I find the old pics (may have to make my old PC work) I'd unwrap only if someone is very interested and will come to look at it. I am in Newport, TN. I was asking for $2,000 for the work completed. Is that price inline for a box fitting my description? I now know better to get a down payment for big jobs. -- Tony Miklos Tony's Jukebox Repair

I have a machine customer brought only wanting to swap out the amp. What he failed to tell me was that it also doesn't select. With the carriage at rest position, make any selection it immediately trips & plays V8 (rest position). After cancelling that and trying any other selection it will not trip to play. Readout is fine via battery test. Pulled back door off and selection receiver has had caps replaced Regards, Rick

Rock-Ola CD Fireball

I've never seen one of these before. From pictures it looks something like a CD NSM with the two vertical stacks of CDs. Are they problem machines? Do I want to go out to attempt to fix it and learn in someone's house. Did they make other models like it or was it a flop and discontinued? My gut is telling me to pass on it. It is the floor model if that makes a difference. I think I'm talking myself out of it.
