DS160 and Stepper issue

Had a call today from a gentleman who said he added a stepper and wall box to his DS160. The wall box selects perfectly but now when making a selection directly from the juke both alpha and numeric buttons stay latched down and nothing happens. He disconnected the wall box but the juke buttons still stay latched down. I have to say this is a new one on me so I’m throwing it out to the group for consideration. Regards, Rick

hi. i have a couple of ongoing problems with my conti. that seems to happen when not used for a while. selects track no worries but after carousel has turned and stopped at track number ,quite often the lever that decides which side of the record it puts down,dosent pull across enough. i dont know its name but it is directly behind the grabber arm, and has 2 coils that pull left or right . i presume its the switch that these coils are triggered from.? results in the record grabber ,slightly twisting but record falls out .any help or idea greatly appreciated

I have a RB-8 that has a "4" error which I believe is the RTC chip is bad. I looked in the manual and it showed a 6421B which I haven't been able to find. Does anyone know of a replacement? -- Paul Howlett Pinball Paul's 703-361-0420

25 Jukes for sale in East TN

This guy wants to sell about 25 jukes, The nicest one there is an AMI Mother of plastic. I didn't check it out well but first impression was great! There is a 1015 and a separate 1015 without a front door, I forget if the mech was there. There is a seeburg C and another 50's seeburg or two. Some of them included a couple 60's rock-ola's for parts, 1 NSM prestige II. Lots more but I was so disgusted looking at them because most had major water/moisture damage. I noticed a few where the cabinet was on the floor most likely the base was rotted out and the wheels went up. I didn't talk to the owner directly, but by the way his helper talked, he thinks he has a gold mine. Hell, he told me the NSM was worth a lot because it was the last jukebox ever made and it was brand new, never played. But it was half full of records! He wants to sell them all in one lot. Like I said, I don't have more info because the condition of most of them was so sickening I couldn't stand it. Here is the contact info I got. Some of the parts ones, if I was to get them, I'd leave them sit outside, strip them and take the rest to the dump. LS2 Seeburg

Working on an LS@2 , discovered that the detent switch actuating lever broken. Plastic body of it just snapped. easy to replace ? Or can they just be JB welded? Any good source for them? tks Jim

Mills carousel mechanism dance master

Hi All, Working on a Mills Dance Master. The mechanism works fine if it has credit for several selections in a row. However when it gets to the final selection (or when it only has credit for 1 selection) then at the end of the record the mech gets stuck just before it reaches the standby (resting position) and if I don't manually nudge the carousel forward less than an inch, there is a buzzing sound from the cut-off box and the changer motor resistor behind the changer motor speed adjusting rheostat overheats and starts smoking. At first I thought this had something to do with torque of the changing motor but since it is changing just fine between multiple consecutive selections I now think it may be a timing issue between some of the switches or something in the cut-off box mechanism. When the chain of the changer motor is disengaged then the carousel moves freely so I don't think that the problem is related to the carousel wheel or the changer motor. Any suggestions will be much appreciated! Thank you, -Hans
