This will probably be best directed to John Robertson. A customer brought this machine for repair. He said when a disc is loaded the clamp arm stays upright. He brought a manual but there is no exploded parts view. Is there supposed to be a spring to pull the clamp arm down after disc is placed on the player? Like a Rowe does?
Also the title pages turn but not freely. I haven’t got that far into it.

The CD clamp comes down under gravity - this may be as simple as the arm has been lifted too high and has popped off the pin!

Hard to say with Motorbook problems. Might be the motor, or it could be broken parts on the pages.
