When making selections on Wurlitzer 3800, buttons A thru V and all the number buttons 1 thru 0 have become really hard to push in. Many of the buttons when pushed make unusual noises. It just feels like they need some lubrication. Over the years, I remember many discussion group members saying not to use WD-40. Any suggestions on how to loosen these up and make them work much smoother?
Thanks in advance. John F.
Get access to the back of the buttons. Are they slider contacts like most Seeburgs? Get a good contact cleaner that leaves no residue. Spray each carefully @ avoid any plastics parts. Kent

If you are finding it hard to push the buttons then either this is a spray lube (Deoxit or MG Chemicals Nu-Trol) or the assembly needs to be checked over for foreign matter or bad adjustments.
I recommend getting the service manual and go over the Keyboard Adjustments as these must be correct before additional troubleshooting can happen.
I have NOS keyboard switch banks if needed in the end, or there are used ones from folks like Mike Florio.
Getting the manual is your first priority here.
