Hi all I hope everyone is enjoying their xmas records on their jukeboxes! I have a Rockola princess deluxe that has worked perfectly for the last 25 years, but now the mech magazine no longer rotates after I select a record. However, the magazine mech does rotates perfectly when I move the service switch from the "oper." position to "scan" position. I cleaned the contacts on the service switch, but that did not fix the issue. Sequence 2 in the manual seems to indicate that the problem could be the "play control relay" and related contacts, as this appears to operate the mech magazine, turntable motor, and amplifier. Can someone please tell me where this relay is so I can clean its contacts? I'd also appreciate any other tips on what could be causing the problem if it is not the relay. Thanks, all! David

Hi David,
When you select a record, does the pin associated with that record move ?
If you manually operate a pin to the selected position with your fingers, does the carousel move ?
Have you checked the micro switch at the top rear of the pin bank that's operated by the wobble plate I think it's called ? That may not be moving the micro switch when a pin is selected. This controls the rotation of the carousel until there are no records left to play. I think also there is one on the underneath of those earlier mechanisms ( an open blade type switch not a micro switch - can't off hand remember if this one is relevant though).
Regards
