Still working on the model 61. With the help of Hans I was able to replace the fibre gear, it went together well and works fine. (Thank you Hans) The problem now is that it keeps picking up the same record and the selector never searches. The problem is that at the end of the cycle the clutch does not reset forward and engage the selector gear. However if I advance the mech a bit it will do what it’s supposed to do. I’ve done the timing at least 5 times but it hasn’t corrected the problem, I’ve even tried advancing the timing a bit and retarding it a bit and still no luck so I just set the gear back to where it’s supposed to be. Is there an adjustment to make the motor run a bit longer? I’ve read the manual cover to cover but no mention of this. In the troubleshooting section it says to do the timing, but as I stated, this did not solve the issue. Any ideas much appreciated. Mauro

More information: If at the end of the cycle I help the turntable lift cam turn it is just enough to bring the elevator cam into proper position. I’ve tried adjusting the magazine switch but it’s very touchy, a tiny turn will make the motor run on and not stop so that can’t be the issue.

Hi Mauro,
You wrote that if you turn the turntable lift cam it brings the elevator cam in the right position. Have you tried to remove the collar 'A' of the intermediate drive gear (see timing schematic)? there are 2 set screws that hold that in place. That will allow you to lift the gear up just enough to move the clutch a bit forward or backward by turning the shaft of the drive motor. Then put push the intermediate drive gear back in position again and run a test cycle. It does sound that the timing is just off a little. Best, -Hans ________________________________ From: M De Simone via Jukebox-list jukebox-list@lists.netlojix.com Sent: Friday, May 24, 2024 5:29 PM To: Jukebox mailing list jukebox-list@lists.netlojix.com Cc: M De Simone m.desimone@rogers.com Subject: [Jukebox-list] Re: W61 Continued issue
