I'm working on this V-3WA wallbox and left the cover and title strip pages at the customers house. Will a #47 bulb fit with the title pages and cover on? Or do I need the shorter #51 bulbs? Thanks,
I just checked mine (2 top bulbs) and when rotating the pages there is 7mm clearance between bulb and page. I am sure mine are 47s. They aren't round glass ones, more long glass ones. I think there will be ample clearance with either though.
Regards
Nigel

These ones I am talking about in my previous email are the two recessed into the white metal that light up the title pages, above where they swing.
Off hand I aren't sure about the one that lights up the price of play part.
The two that light up the buttons are on sliding clips so I think you have some wriggle room on those.

I believe you are looking at a different wall box. I did confuse things more when I mentioned the bulbs in question as the title page lights. They actually light up lenes in the front of the cover, probably to make a selection and make any selection (albums) since they light up after inserting a coin.

No, I was definitely looking at a V-3WA as the subject suggests.
The bulbs you are talking about are either 2 or 4 of them depending on the pricing options on the 3WA (2 set down each side), but from your description I didn't realise you meant those.

Nigel

Oh OK. My double mistake.
After being froze up, after some work it seems to be running well. I have a pinball relay hooked up to it to hear the pulses. First 11, then 20 (I think). I couldn't count that fast but listening to the relay and watching the wiper arm it sounds like it's pulsing correctly.
I screwed up leaving the selection receiver in the box instead of bringing it with me, although I don't know if it would have worked without the buttons in the circuit? Has anyone tried it?
Tony

I can't ask your question about the selection receiver without knowing what jukebox you connected the 3WA to, as I've connected them to pretty much all makes of electro mechanical 45 jukeboxes.
However, with your pinball relay idea and counting the pulses, I recently did the same with an nsm wallbox I had, and I recorded the relay pulling in and out on a video on my phone. I then played it back in slow motion and hey presto, it highlighted the issue. Slowing it down made everything much easier to count and see.

Nigel

Excellent idea with the recording and slow playback!
The box it was tried on by the customer is a Seeburg 201. I have one or two selection receivers on a shelf so maybe I'll pull one out and try it.

Hi Tony, You can knock up a little visual tester to view wallbox pulses using an LED, a diode and a 470 ohm resistor that you can carry about in your toolbag. It draws minimum current so you can monitor pulses on a connected installation without concern. It's also useful for the likes of an AMi I - you can hook it into the wallbox terminal and see the pulses from the pulse generator to the pulse converter. Norman.
Norman, That sound pretty useful and easy to build! How exactly are they connected? I’d like to build one. Mauro

While that works, I prefer to have a heavier load on it, which you could do with a resistor. I also have a tester for the tormat selection receiver. I plug it into the receiver socket and an RCA plug into the pulse amp. When the unit is on the bench, pressing the switch on the tester pulses a 120 volt relay. That one started with a 100 watt light bulb, then changed that to the relay. Both relays are DC rated so they vibrate quite a bit with the AC pulses. If the receiver is still hooked up the the jukebox, I can still plug just the RCA plug in to see if it trips the the mech.
