Hi, with the details in the discussion that you suggested here https://jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/3712/seeburg-100c-cancel-any-pin I was able to deeply understand the sequence of contact closure and understand where the problem was (it was not so clear from the manual): during the C contact closure SC should still be closed for a short time in order to provide path to ground while in my case this was not happening. Audio Question

I recently swapped out a defective Astatic cartridge with a Pfhansteil P51 on my personal 1015. Since the swap the audio seems to have lost a lot of low end and sounds “tinny.” Years ago when I restored it, I had added a Bill Bickers upgrade to the volume control box to improve the bass response. Obviously I’d like it to sound like it did before the swap.

Working on a Seeburg JL with metal cased RCA 6L6's. (don't recall seeing those before) While trying to find an intermittent very loud snap, crackle, and pop, I get a bit of a shock off the metal case of the one 6L6. Turns out the plate is shorted to the metal enclosure! The base must be a little small because the tube clips weren't grounding out the B+, although it may have been intermittently and that may have been the noise it was making. Put my meter on it and it was about 395vdc to ground, .1 ohms from pin 3 to the metal case. Tony

And unfortunately as far as I can tell the archive.org hasn’t archived the emails as they were stored in a manner it had no access to. My personal archive goes back to January, 2006. Does anyone have an earlier archive? Rock-Ola CD8C error message question.

Hello all. I have a Rockola Bubbler CD8C and when it is turned on, it give a ERROR message in the display. it says DIAGNOSTICS MODE CD Comm. Failure. Where do I start? Does anyone think it is possible that the board inside the CD PRO Player went bad? Hoping for some experienced folks to point me in the right direction. Thanks,Ron B

This amp will play for about 2-3 minutes then blows the 2 amp fuse. Tubes all test good. I’m confused.

ROCKOLA MODEL 496

Hi All, I have Rockola Model 496 with the System 3 Control Unit 55130-A with an intermittent problem. After power up, the machine will generally play a single selection correctly as per request. Generally, after playing the initial selection, it will not accept further selections. After power off, and several minutes wait time, it will repeat the same process. On one occasion, the machine attempted to play all selections in the carousel, after pushing several numbers on the keypad. STD-4 Trip Problem

Mechanism trips continually as soon as a record is placed on the turntable. I read a short to ground across the trip switch on the mechanism continually. Disconnected the 6-pin plug on the amplifier and short still exists. Looks like the short is somewhere in the mechanism. Any ideas?

Does anyone recall how many ohms resistance the trip relay coil should read? It is the little red "cube" type relay. Installed in the dcc4 control center. Im reading about 700 Ohms. Jim

Seeburg AY100, record is in play and when you make any additional selection it causes the mech to trip to scan ?? I’ve never encountered this before. Any ideas?

This amp had been recapped awhile back and working properly. Owner said he went to play, powered on and a very loud hum then blew the fuse. He replaced with same value and same thing happened. Should I be looking for a shorted tube, open resistor?

Rowe CD 100 transfer motor

I have a customer that has a CD100 that the transfer motor runs continuously. I have replaced the mech control computer (6108602) and tested the cam switches. If I stop the motor manually at a selected CD it will play the CD. The optical switches are working. The scan/transfer LED is constantly on. Seeburg MRA1-L6 AMP question

I just finished installing a replacement cap kit in the above-mentioned amp. It is being used in a M100C. Using a redhead cartridge (with good needles) I'm finding the output of the amp is poor. Even with the volume maxed the output is nominal. I tested the tubes and the 6V6 drivers only read in the 50 percent range. A couple were 51 -52 but still low. Do you think a fresh set of tubes will increase the output? Regards, Rick

Seeburg V200 Does not pick up B sides (right side) records

Hey All, A jukebox hobby friend asked for my help as he really doesn’t have computer savvy. He has a V200 with a TSR1 selection receiver. When he performs the battery trick all selections are selected and played. Making a selection from the keyboard works fine for all A (left side) selections but the mech will scan twice and not pick up any B side (right side) selections? He has tried swapping the 2D21 tubes and has traced out and verified all the wiring is good with continuity. To me it sounded like a readout problem at first but the fact that it selects and plays all selections when charged by a battery kinda eliminates a readout or trip.problem and the fact that it selects and plays A sides, I think, rules out a write in problem? I was hoping someone could offer some suggestions as I’m really not good at remote troubleshooting and this seems like a very odd problem to me. Much appreciated, Mauro Sent from my iPhone

Seeburg R tonearm / trip issue

I’m working on a R that just came in. As the tonearm enters into the cutoff portion of the record, instead of tripping off the tonearm jumps back into the record and then repeats this process and eventually will trip. There is a good loop in the tonearm wire so no bind there. Previous owner had installed an adapter to use stereo cartridge but I don’t think there’s any issue there. Could the tonearm balance weight cause this?

Is there a seperate needle set-down position on the seeburg mechanism ? SS-160 jukebox. The needle just barely misses the lead-in area and needs to be slightly adjusted. Thank yoiu.

I recently completed cap replacement on the above mentioned amp. Bass response is poor and no change noticeable when changing the bass pot. The only thing I did different was on the .5 cap I used same value but a higher voltage. I can’t let it go sounding like this Thoughts? Regards Rick
