The machine will operate fine without the 2050 tube. It's only needed whenyou use wallboxes. I had a problem with mine long ago where the coil openedon the selection timing relay. This caused the credit solenoid to stay activatedand it did make a very loud buzzing noise. So as you know, the first step is tosee what's buzzing and fix that, so the machine can be put in a known point inthe play cycle. The fact that the buzzing starts as soon as the machine is turnedon indicates it's coming from an electro-mechanical rather than audio source.
