My AMI I sometimes doesn’t reject but if I turn the transfer motor armature a bit with my finger it takes off and all is good again until a couple records later. Does this mean I have a dead spot? And is there a way to correct this? Getting closer to working out the bugs. Thanks, Mauro

It may be a copper commutator slat that disconnected from its winding. All the copper slats should be interconnected to all the others - if one or two are not connected then check the end of them for a failed joint.
Could also be stuck brush that isn't floating easily on the commutator, or a soiled slat etc.
You'll have to take the motor about to see and check with an ohmmeter.
