Hope someone can help with this question. I have recently rebuilt a Wurlitzer Lyric for a friend who dismantled it 30 years ago? The flexible drive from the number selection unit is giving me problems, it tends to twist as it drives and stops/stalls turning the toothed selection wheel. I have soaked the outer sheath of the drive with a penetrating oil but doesn't make any difference. My next step is to remove it from the keyboard and see if I can examine it more closely to see what the problem is. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
