Thanks!
I fear this is what the problem is.
On my first visit I learned she cannot find the keys so couldn't go much further than verifying the model and observing things from the outside. (One anomaly is that the plate on rear of box says it's an SMC-1 but on the front it says "Phoenix"... I thought that was an SMC-2!!).
They bought it at one of the Chicago Shows years ago and did little more than change out records. Basically a plug and play for years. So, the batteries are most likely shot. Lubrication??? Nah!
I ordered a set of keys from John Durfee Need a Key for your Seeburg Jukebox?I should have them this week.

I had heard about the replacement board (Ron Rich's) watching a YoooTooob video. Thanks for the source. I'm guessing I'll be placing an order!
Back to my original question: What happened to the Searchable Archive??

On the off chance that it has the original processor PCB, the batteries probably have leaked and caused damage to the board. CDadapter sells the modern replacement. The one that Ron Rich played a part in the design

Won't play. Has some alien language lettering displayed on the selection panel window. Might be due to not prepping the machine for it's 900+ mile trip from upstate Illinois to Austin Tx.
I have been gathering manuals and scanning the Google and YoooTooob for ideas.
What I REALLY wanted to do is research using the Searchable archives: http://jukebox.markmail.org/ as shown at the bottom of the juke list digest. Is it deadski? Has it been moved?
Man, that has been an invaluable resource!
Thanks, Bob- Georgetown Tx.

As has been mentioned, sees like whomever bought Markmail has shutdown the archives. Was poking around a little this morning and maybe this can help a little. Seems a bit search clumsy...but might be some place to start.

Seems this only has data from 2023. I tried selecting a month...then changing the month and year in the URL...and it displayed no results.

I have my personal archive of Jukebox list going back to Jan 1 2006. If someone can convert Thunderbird file format and create a new archive I am perfectly happy to send a copy of my archives. I just don't have the time!
Has anyone checked on the Wayback machine on Archive.org to see what it contains of the markmail archive?
