Hello All, Can anyone tell me if I can test an AMI WQ200 wallbox on the bench with just powering the 26vac? I have one that will select if I help turn the motor a bit but coins do not advance the wiper blades. I’ve made some adjustments and did some contact cleaning but it does the same thing. I’m wondering if I need a DC voltage or something else? Thank you for any advice, Mauro

I believe its a four wire setup with a lock out feature so you can't select if another wallbox is in use or the jukebox keyboard is in use. Most likely you will need to install a jumper. Yes you can test it on the bench. It will do everything you need to help you fix it. Just use a 25vac transformer.

Thanks for the confirmation. I just can’t figure out why it’s not advancing to the credit position when a coin is dropped in. Also doesn’t seem to return to home position, it’s usually off by one rivet. I was thinking it may need some other voltage as the fourth wire was confusing me. First, I have a lot of the AMI jukebox service bulletins up loaded on my website - it never hurts to look through them can case there is something on wallboxes: for example in my collection AMI_Service_Bulletins_Book1&2_1955-59-No114_through_175-wm.pdf on page 18 there is talk about a kit to get the G200 to work with Seeburg wallboxes:

The four wires on your wallbox (reading left to right) would be AC Common, 24VAC, Signal, and AC Control (WAIT) - stops other wallboxes from sending signals while the current one is busy.
I'm looking for my wall-box service manual, but I guess that is at the shop and I'm at home until Tuesday...

John, I always appreciate your insight, I’m pretty sure I’ve gone through your website extensively and have read those bulletins but it’s been a while. I’ll look again. The problem I see now is the WAIT light is on when I believe the select light should be on. It’s been many years since I’ve worked on one of these and I’m just working my way though it and refamiliarizing myself.
