Hi all,
For later stereo Seeburg cartridge with the yellow / green / purple shoe type styli, I am sure a few years back someone was selling the replacement holder assembly – the clip part where the cartridge pins sit in the tonearm, and the flat locator clips in the tonearm. I need to replace the one I have.
I’m pretty certain it was Ron Rich that mentioned the new replacement part a good few years back. The older ones can get loose and troublesome even with the pin sleeves tight.
Does anyone know it ?
Thanks
Nigel, UK
The part that Ron referred to came from ebay seller pipster3 (Canada). I looked at the current ebay.com listings from pipster3 but I cannot see that particular item. You could message him (her?) I suppose. Steve Crowley in Florida makes the adapters. I have installed many in customer machines and my restorations. You can email him at scrow45987@comcast.net

I don't think he is looking for an adapter.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies.
Tony is correct, it's not an adapter.
It is the brittle white nylon arrangement that slides into the tonearm and clips in and then you fit the pin receptacle into it and then the cartridge pushes in over the top. A clip on it clips into the tonearm. After time it becomes loose, which gives rise to poor pin connections and popping noises. That's the part I want to replace.
I googled pipster3 as Norman suggested and found Rons article from way back, that is what I am looking for.
It looks like a prime candidate for a 3d printer project.
I'll contact pipster3, but I can't be the first one to want this surely, so my thoughts are there must be a solution.
Regards
Nigel
