Seeburg AY100, record is in play and when you make any additional selection it causes the mech to trip to scan ??
I’ve never encountered this before. Any ideas?
Possible poor ground for the tormat. Go over the connections real well especially on the RCA plug ground.
If the selection receiver (or whatever it's call in this model) isn't rebuilt, it needs to be or you will have more problems and they will blame you when it has a new problem next week. This takes all new caps AND some resistors. Just capping it is half @$$.

This is well covered in the troubleshooting guide in the operators service manual. A cute picture of a guy looking sideways at the mech as they press a selection...
The manual is indispensable in situations like this!

I used to balk at the price of a manuals until I realized that having no manual was costing me more than if I'd have bought one right away.
Upon closer inspection, rodents had chewed through every wire in the Electrical Selector. Previous owner band aided with electrical tape. I’m starting my troubleshooting there 😀
