Please please can any one help me. I have a Continental 2, my problem is the tone arm when record finishes scrapes across record (stylist). I’ve set all adjustments according to manual. What am I missing? Help!!!

Do you have the tonearm bearing assembly that fits under the tonearm shaft?
If it’s missing, that’s probably the reason you’re not getting clearance.

The tonearm height adjustment could be off. How far is the stylus abovelead-in groove before it sets down? When rejecting, does it scrapeacross the full width of the record, or at some point does it lift up?
The adjustments in the manual are only relevant with the GE factory installed cartridge.
If you have a different cartridge it will hang lower and the adjustments will need to be more, and trial and error.
There is a hex adjustment on the pivot of the arm bracket (not the arm itself) and also on the front of the arm bracket set in a locking nut if you lift it you will see the small hex screw adjustment there also.
That Ami arm rises on a cam, it's quite unusual in the way it works. So you need to screw down the hex screw at the rear of the arm, so that the rotation of the cam lifts the arm up more.

Further to my reply, what cartridge does it have and did it work ok before or has it always been like this ?
The original cartridge was sunk into the arm each side of the mounting posts. Most modern ones sit on the edge of the mounting posts and consequently are about 6mm lower. Plus the fact some cartridges are quite deep anyway, there can be the situation whereby you are almost at the end of both adjustments to get it to work correctly.

To add to what Nigel said, I'm pretty sure AMI used to have a special version of a Shure cartridge with some plastic removed so it would fit up in these headshells. Some people, including me, have taken a Dremmel tool to the plastic of other cartridges to get them to fit up in between the posts like the original cartridge. Only some models are suitable for this. For me, it was years ago, sorry, I don't have any instructions or photographs.

They did. It was a version of the Shure 44, the M44MR. There's a picture here: http://tildebang.com/jukebox/images/shure_m44mr_pickup_ami.jpg I've also tried the Dremmel tool with mixed results. As long as you don'tcut into the metal case under the plastic cover of the cartridge you're safe.
The cartridge Ami used on the Continental was the GE VR. This seated right up inside the arm.
When Ami became Rowe Ami they used the Shure N77DA, a red and black cartridge which also fitted up inside the arm. Rock Ola used the Shure M44MR which was the same as the M44C but had the plastic milled out to also fit up between the 2 mounting posts. You can do this yourself if necessary. Prior to this Rock Ola also used the N77DA on their earlier magnetic cartridge jukeboxes. The N77 is a great sounding cartridge with a 10mv output.
Both of the above Shure cartridges work great on the older AMI tonearm.

Interesting. I just cited the M44MR as I got one out of an AMI JAN machine years ago. I guess the operator must have sourced it from Rock-Ola. Anyway, I can confirm it works great in an AMI.
I've got one in my Continental one. They fit and sound great. It's been in 30 or more years. I think they are technically the same as the M44C but have a different shaped plastic shroud.
I've had some M44Cs that are actually badged as Rowe-Ami instead of the Shure logo.
