I’ve just put this jukebox back together, it hasn’t run since the 1980’s. All components have been rebuilt and/or checked out to make sure all switches were making and breaking. I turned it on for the first time and credit lights do not come on but in credit position buttons latch but pulse generator motor does not start. Where does the voltage come from for this motor as I measure 0 vac or dc for that matter. I believe it is an ac motor. I have the manuals but it just explains the sequence from “selection is made”. Anyway I’d like to see if I can get some voltage to this motor. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Mauro

I’d like to add to this that I swapped in a known working credit unit and it made no difference.

Check the fuse on top of the transformer below the keyboard right side. On Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 05:29:24 PM EDT, M De Simone via Jukebox-list jukebox-list@lists.netlojix.com wrote:

Hi Mauro,
The 28v AC is supplied from a transformer on the front left of the jukebox on the mechanism shelf. Check the Buss fuse on top of that first. Check 28VAC on it's top terminals. Also, move the pulse generator wiper slighty forward in its direction of rotation. If all is ok it should pick up power and the motor should rotate. That will be an indication that you are actually getting power there. Check this wiper is also positioned correctly in the rest position.
Then - check each bank of 10 buttons for connectivity through all the button contacts and the contacts at the end of each bank of 10 buttons. You will see mechanically that there is a bar that holds the buttons in "no credit mode". Move this so you can push each but in turn to ensure its own contact and the end of bar contacts make correctly. If there is a break in continuity it won't work. You'll need to remove the button assembly for this - 2 bolts on each side, not the chrome part. I say 10 buttons but that'll be less for the 120 selection.
Also check the cam switch connections which are in the housing by the motor gearbox to ensure they are making/breaking when they should.
Best Regards
Nigel
