I put a new (used) clutch in because the old one somehow had the worm gear stripped.
Often when it went to the right side and then reverses, it gets stuck and just slips. I went over the rubber stop and the reverse trip adjustments and it is working much better, I actually counted and it worked properly 100 times in a row. If I make it change direction before it gets to either end, it changes direction no problem at all, ever. (I hope Ron isn't reading this and knows that I was hitting the reversing switch by hand) :)
It was acting up whenever changing from the right side to the other direction but the adjustments cured that. What remains is that if I play the last record on the right, A or B side, it then gets stuck again. Pushing the mech quickly to the left will engage the clutch and all it well until I select the last selection.
Any ideas? I'm about ready to tell the customer not to play the last selection! (not really)

Ron Rich probably knew what you were going to type before you did it. ;)

As I recall the Clutch Tower Assy is different for the LPC-480 series machine, so was your replacement from a LPC-480 machine?
I'm away from the shop until Tuesday so can't check my parts manuals though, so could be wrong...won't be the first time!

The clutch is from an LPC. It has the little spring thing down at the clutch. Tony
Try moving the reversing switch actuator bracket slightly to the left so it reverses sooner. Sounds like it is hitting the hard stop or somehow binding at the far right. On Friday, July 12, 2024 at 07:51:15 PM EDT, Tony Miklos via Jukebox-list jukebox-list@lists.netlojix.com wrote:

I have gone over that bracket adjustment and the rubber bumper stop adjustment over and over. I've tried it a little out of adjustment both ways with both things and that's how it got better and works every time when in the middle of the carriage but not always on the right side.
On a side note, did anyone know a Seeburg pro Bill Wunderlick? I worked with him for a little while and I believe his work started on the Seeburg B at a distributor when it was new. Problem there is that he had all his knowledge in his head and never wrote it down. He could have been up there in the top 3 Seeburg guys.
