Can anyone help me with this please. In the video is my G80 with a rebuilt amplifier. It plays beautifully. However, the other cartridge a when plugged into the amplifier makes a continuous humming noise. It will play fine but still hums. I cannot figure out why it continues to do this. Can you please help with this question. Thank you. IMG_4667.MOV https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N1Wo3b6o0sPdx98nQ8GGDPYtfcbPlPp-/view?usp=drive_web

I assume this cable / cartrige set is removed from another juke (the F80 mentioned in the subject) and you're trying it on the G80 to see what's wrong?
I'm just guessing, but the GE cart might require the grounded metal tone arm on the top side to complete the shielding, you could try adding a grounded piece of foil as a substitute and see if it makes a difference. Or, maybe the shell needs to be grounded and that's not happening out of the tone arm. Do you get the same buzz when plugged into something else, e.g. a stereo receiver's phono pre-amp? It could also be a problem in the cable.
Can you sub the cart in place of the one without hum in the G80 and see if it follows the cart?
Just thoughts...

I gave this same answer to your post on Facebook: It looks like the cable connected to the GE cartridge is a simple patch cord, not a shielded pickup cord.
Thank you. I appreciate it.

Ah, yes, David has better eyes than I did on this. Proper shielding and grounding is very important with the wiring for phono cartridges, especially for magnetic cartridges, which the GE is!

Swap the cartridge into the tone arm and see if it hums.
Thank you all for your help.
