The 1800 style is thinner because the mechanism to move it forward and back is on the front side of the arch. The trip lever is different also. It should be possible to make a later one work with some modification, but I have not tried it and can't say for certain. I do have one that is missing the cobra socket and the bracket you are asking about. Contact me off list. I am willing to pay $100 finders fee for a Wurlitzer 1800 tone arm that I can purchase.
If anyone has one that is not mounted, I would love a few pictures of the bottom/back side of it, specifically the bracket that screws onto the back of it to make it place the needle on the record. I am wondering if I can make a bracket to make the newer style tone arm work and pictures would be a great starting point.
Thanks,
Tony
