The key pullers weren't expensive but some reviews said they broke, So I bought 3 different sets. Some work better than others but they all work. Simply stick the key puller over the button and jiggle it around until it snaps in place. On the contact side I put a screwdriver in the metal slot to keep it from bending the contact blades when I pull the puller. (it's easy to understand when looking at it) They pull off with no damage anywhere.
To press them on again don't just push them in or you will bend the contact blades. I had good luck with the padding on the buttons and channel lock pliers across and on the opposite end of the metal part of the button. The process is very easy.

Sorry Tony. I feel your pain. They can be rough and can get messed up trying to pull them. I wish I could help. Good luck.

Does anyone have a fairly easy way to pull the buttons so I can glue them on again? I don't have one, but I'm going to order and try a computer keyboard button puller. I don't know if it will be strong enough.
