Yes, you program the replacement EA ROM using the keypad following the guide that I posted the link for. The issue that I had is that I couldn't access the program using the access code because of a fault on the switch matrix. On the new ROM, I only programmed location C3 (required for the free play link) and C9 which defines the jukebox type (160 selections) and it worked fine although I didn't do much testing. I then refitted the original ER1400.
