I have a ccu in my personal 201. I’ll swap it out to try. The free play adapter is a Vern Schmitt original. Highly doubt anything wrong there.

Tony, I already soldered the loose ground on the rca. It has a free play adapter installed no CCU I'm gonna replace the 6x4 with a fresh one and see what happens This was supposed to be just an amp swap.Customer stated everything else working. Shame on me for not testing when they dropped it off
Rick
If it reads out, then the tubes should be good.
If all of the voltages are good, I think I'd find a CCU to try. Who knows what's in the free play plug that could have fried.

I have a machine customer brought only wanting to swap out the amp.
What
he
failed to tell me was that it also doesn't select.
With the carriage at rest position, make any selection it immediately
trips
& plays V8 (rest position). After cancelling that and trying any other selection it will not trip
to
play.
Readout is fine via battery test.
Pulled back door off and selection receiver has had caps replaced

I'm not sure what this would point to either way, but if you turn it off and on, will it do the same thing again over and over each time it's off and on again? Or once it's warmed up will it not make that first wrong selection after turning it off and on (let it warm up a while)
Anything with a tormat, triple check the grounds. Specifically on the RCA plug and jack on the pulse amp.
If I'm picturing the credit unit correctly, does it have the little slide contact if you know what I mean. I think I was pointed that direction here before on a V. Anyway on the slider part, take a pointy tool and gently scrape the little void between each side where it wipes. Boy, if you can understand what I'm talking about, you are good! I don't remember part names very well!
