Hi, I’m wondering if the Pickering 340 (340D?) is a direct replacement for my Seeburg stereo redhead. The redhead takes T-Needles which are no longer available.
I have an M100C that came to me modified with a G amplifier and stereo tonearm. On a related thread this forum helped me understand how the stereo cart should beat best be wired to feed the mono amp (thanks again!). But I’m still trying to find the best path to new needles.
It looks like the stereo 340 carts take the yellow needles, which are still available. So, I’m wondering if this cart will work for me and if any mods will be required. Still 45K amp impedance wired in parallel through the 10K series resistors? I’m guessing I’ll need to adjust the tonearm pressure at a minimum. Any other compatibility issues before I sink the $$$?
Thanks, -steve.
