Hello,, does anyone else have problems closing the lid on a Seeburg ss-160 Jukebox? The lid rubs against the title board frame and must be forced to close. Any solutions? thank you.

control box resistor in 1448 Rock-Ola

I am working on a 1448 Rock-Ola, in the control box there is a resistor that has deteriorated beyond recognition. The schematic shows no resistor in the control box. Was it an addon? is it needed? If needed what is the value? Thank you.

WSF5-L7 Selection Receiver Schematic

Does anyone have a really good high quality scan of a WSF-5L6? I'd love it if someone could email it to me. My AMR manual schematic is pretty crappy. Another question, If I find an original service manual will the schematics be much more clear than the AMR ones? (I guess I'm also asking for a scan of an original) Or... Is there a certain model where the AMR manual schematics are better than others? I'll buy another manual or two if I could read the schematics! I think all I have is a C and a G.

Microtecnica Conti2 reset solenoid faulty

Hello again! The reset solenoid 1 (or solenoid 2, must check which one, it's the one about even numbered records) in my Microtecnica Conti2, just stopped working, it doesn't matter which odd numbered selection I do. Everything else it's working fine, and if I reset the pin by hand for that selection, it's all ok. I don't see the reset coil even trying to reset the pins, but the plunger moves freely, if I push it by hand. So, I'd like to find a way to check it without dismounting everything, just to be sure it's a coil fault and not something else. First of all, at which voltage it's that coil operated? I suppose 110v ? Where does the impulse for the coil starts from? There's a place where I could check with a tester if everything else it's ok, just to be sure it's not a problem with some old cable, or a microswitch? Seeburg Microlog

With Ron no longer a resource on these machines is anyone on the list stepping up to the plate or volunteering their expertise on Microlog models? I had purchased Rons troubleshooting guide years ago but I’ll be darned if I can lay my hands on it. I know Ron claimed these were the best machines Seeburg produced but I will admit they are my least favorite and not the easiest to troubleshoot and track down the source of the issue. If you are good with these machines I wouldn’t mind running a few scenarios with one that ( yup you guessed it) is giving me a headache. Regards Rick

I've seen this done a few times to be able to use a newer cartridge. Is it worth the while and which tone arm did you/they use? The one I saw actually added a second amp feeding remote speakers for true stereo. I'd be staying mono.

How does one gain access to the rotating drum motor in the upper lid section of a seeburg ss-160? Thru the back doesnt work. Do you just pull the rotating section out? I have a noisy motor. Thanks, Jim

Crossover for a Continental 1

Dear People, I hope someone can provide a little guidance for repairing or replacing the crossover for my Continental 1. For reasons too complicated to list I bought the unit for renovation from a dealer in Coventry and started the renovation but it then had to stand for about 20years. I have only now continued the renovation. I decided to look at the crossover and I find that there is a replacement bass driver and a horn tweeter that is not connected (to the crossover or anything else). Please note that it is not a piezo tweeter. Thecrossover is also not connected to anything and appears to be the original. It has a coil, value unknown, a very old electrolytic .cap - 3.0 mFd 50V one 27 ohm 10% resistor and one 22 ohm 10% resistor. Can anyone please suggest how suitable this might be? I plan to replace the resistors and cap once it is know what should be there or alternatively what I should replace it with. Best Regards, Doug

Hi Jamie, I'm not as technically proficient as you are with your video attachment but I think that I can help you. I have an article from Harold Hagen aka Dr. Know-it-all titled "1949 AMI C doesn't return record to magazine". I'd be happy to email that to you if you reach out to me at my email address. In my rather lame AMI Model A service manual, there's a "cycle of operation" chapter that would be really helpful to you. You'll then have a roadmap of the order of operation in the system so that you can electrically check each part. For you non-AMI folks, it'll most likely be the reversing control relay in the junction box. [8^) Good luck! Seeburg R Selection Receiver question

A customer brought me his 3W1 and selection receiver stating that making selections via the wallbox were intermittent at best. On the receiver the original cap had been removed from circuit and replaced with two 10uf 450vdc lytic caps wired in parallel. I have not had a lot of interaction with wallbox installation but my question is regarding the replacement cap(s) Shouldn’t that be a 5.0 uf 370vac type? Thanks Rick

These jukes are very collectible. The machine plays great, sounds great but has trouble playing more than one selection in sequence. I am reluctantly selling it for $2500 because I bought it to be the focal point for an after hours club... then along came Covid! It is stocked with 80 45s, mostly classic jukebox tunes. Plus I have 42 45s 36 in original paper jackets: The Stones, Beatles, Yoko Ono, CCR, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, Bee Gees, Moody Blues, Elvis, Del Shannon, The Kinks, The Dead, Smokey Robinson, Roy Orbison, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Zombies, Elton John and others. 3 without a jacket: incl 1 Gordon Lightfoot, 1 Epic demo 45 (one side only): Cheap Trick 1 1967 "Canada" Centennial 45 by the Young Canadian Singers (bi-lingual!). Mills dance master amp

Hi All, I’m finishing up a Mills Dance Master, I have it all mechanically working and I’m now ready to work on the amp (an MCP 1644 amp). I have a schematic for it from the manual but it is not very useful because the caps and resistors are only marked with the mills ‘mcp’ catalog number and not with the actual values. The corresponding parts list has the same issue with just listing the Mills catalog numbers and not actual values. I checked with Bill Bickers at Jukebox friday night but he does not have a schematic with values or a rebuilt kit either. If anyone has a schematic or a listing of the caps and the resistors and choke for this amp please let me know. Thank you for your help. Jamie, I'll start by channeling our mentors and advise you to get a copy of the Service Manual. In the meantime, I quote from the description of basic operation for what is supposed to happen: "After the record has been played, the pickup arm moves into the cut-off grooves. At this point an arm on the pickup arm pivot bearing (60) actuates the reversing switch (51). The reversing control relay (70) in the mechanism junction box (46) will then become energized, reversing the transfer motor." I would start by first checking to see if the mechanism will return the record if you push the record cancel pushbutton.
