Darryl, My attachment was scrubbed so I don't know what you said. Is this something that I can read on the club page? Electricity: Net Energy Metering bill
by Darryl Widman 05 Nov '11

Perhaps you remember our guest speaker from our September 2010 SBARC club meeting. That would be Laura Rudison, Program Administrator, Net Energy Metering - Interconnection, Customer Solar & Self Generation with Southern California Edison. She was so kind as to forward the above attachment to me regarding what our dear California legislature has come up with. I thought it would be interesting to you. I don't expect many of you to read the whole thing, as I haven't, but you may find parts of it do pertain to your use of and billing for electricity in California. There will not be an exam so don't worry. Just enjoy some casual reading! 73, Darryl, KF6DI ____________________________________________________________ Penny Stock Jumping 3000% Sign up to the #1 voted penny stock newsletter for free today! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3141/4eb4855a2e60d147166cst06duc

KMO Needs a New Hamshack...
by Rod Fritz 31 Oct '11

31 Oct '11

Hello SBARC Members and Friends, My landlord’s kids moved back home so I need to move out to make room (it was a great run while it lasted). I have until 11/30 to get into a new place. A room, duplex or house will work, but I need permission to put up a small tower and antennas. Rent is quite flexible. Of course, the location at antenna level must be line of site to the ATV Repeater on Gibraltar Road. The area between Hwy 154 and Alamar (like San Roque/Samarkand) is preferred, but several other locations would work out well, too. Let me know as soon as possible if you hear of something that might work for me. Regards, Rod Fritz, WB9KMO rod(a)sbatv.org 805-637-0985 any time between 7:30am and 11:00pm

New tower for ARES
by Bill Talanian 26 Oct '11

26 Oct '11

The new USFS 100 ft tower for Santa Ynez Peak has now arrived. The semi arrived yesterday and parked at 101 and Refugio Road. The load had to be transferred to a shorter truck to make it to SYP. A crane will arrive today and lift the components into place. The tower erection will be finished in three working days. Due to limited logistics the present ARES antennas will not be reused. All new coax, connectors, and antennas will be installed. Complete cut-over should be expected within the next few weeks. We shall be working with the tower crew until the task is done.
