Darryl Widman and I have talked about how to get more activity in SBARC.
An activity in San Diego took place this past weekend that should
provide some ideas.

Robert provided a summary of the T-Hunt activities at Camp Balboa
Jambore On The Air. Here is the HAMTASTIC side of the Group's
activities. See attached photos.
We arrived on Fiesta Island around 7:15 - 7:30 and it was warm,
around 80, with 10-15 MPH gusts so we enlisted some help from one of the
Sandra guys, Ed ,WA6YVX, and an innocent bystander, Glenn, to get the
canopy set up. We carefully positioned the corners of the tie downs for
the prevailing east Santa Ana winds. We got the tables, chairs,
sniffers, micro's and the donuts out and settled in waiting for folks to
start meandering around. We saw quite a few people we knew throughout
the day with several of the T-Hunt Group, _although some not too active
recently,_ stopping by to say Hello and grab a donut! I think we had
more activity this year with several groups of Boy Scouts wanting to
find all three hidden T's, 144.100, 146.565 &147.585. They had planned
a canoe outing but due to poor water quality came over to our event.
Thomas, NE6TT, a recent addition to the group, and his three year old
son came by and took time to find a hidden T in the back of Ed's
Explorer. We had one young man with his mother that was interested in
getting his Ham license so he could talk to his Grandfather in Arizona
who was really excited when he located one of the hidden T's. Several
other assorted people also tried their luck but with all the activity
did not get call signs! And, the last victim of the day, Rodel, W6KNG,
who knows Jason, KB3ERS, actually came out for the Mobile T-Hunt later
that afternoon and rode with Tim, AJ6XP. Tim gave him lots of
instruction on sniffing once we got to the main T. See photos of
Saturday's Hunt by K6VCR and KI6RXX when Greg, Ki6RXX posts the
results? About noon the Santa Ana winds died down and the wind came up
from the west so we had to change our tie downs around to keep the
canopy down. The following former and current T-Hunters were observed
at some point during the day. It was a long day so sorry if we missed
anyone. GARRY, NA6NA, THOMAS, NE6TT, BILL, W6ZM, ROBIN, KM6OUL, MAX,
K9DOG, DENNIS, KD6TUJ, TOM, K6VCR, BRUCE, AG6X, & Jerry, W6KIN. It
appeared that everyone had a good time!
