I have a customer that has a CD100 that the transfer motor runs continuously. I have replaced the mech control computer (6108602) and tested the cam switches. If I stop the motor manually at a selected CD it will play the CD. The optical switches are working. The scan/transfer LED is constantly on. The board error LED is on intermittantly.
Sometimes the clutch action on the motor sticks and the motor makes the mech "coast" until it gets turned on again by a cam switch. It should stop dead. When it is the clutch, you can usually hear by the noise of the motor if the power to it stops for a split second, then goes on again, that is a sure sign.
