First, pull the amp input plugs one at a time to see if that stops the hum on either or both channels. If it still hums with both out, it's in the amp. If it stops, it's in the wiring to the amp. As for the mech problem, disassemble and degrease the clutch parts, lube them and reinstall. Heat from a hair dryer or a heat gun will make disassembly of the important parts that stick the most. Be sure to remove all records near the heat source.

Hi all I could use some guidance… I’m working on my Seeburg 161 I purchased. It has a HFMA2 amp that was rebuilt by the previous owner . I have two issues first is…as a record begins to play there is no hum however as the AVC kicks in the hum begins and increases and is quite loud then gets drowned out by the music until the end of the song where it is very loud until the mute switch kicks in. Any thought?
Second issue is the mech sometimes “jitters” or starts and stops rapidly after record play it will eventually begin to scan properly.
Any guidance is appreciated… Don _______________________________________________ Jukebox-list mailing list -- jukebox-list@lists.netlojix.com To unsubscribe send an email to jukebox-list-leave@lists.netlojix.com %(web_page_url)slistinfo%(cgiext)s/%(_internal_name)s Searchable Archives: http://jukebox.markmail.org/
