A while back someone offered to help convert my MBOX to a searchable archive - Jay seems to be uninterested in following this up (we are ALL busy with life stuff!) but I'm wondering if he could chime in with what format he could work with to give the membership back the archives - there are a lot of posts from Ron Rich and others who are gone, but shared their knowledge - it needs to be preserved.
Also how many people here use Thunderbird? Perhaps we could also add to the archive a MBOX version that could be downloaded and squeezed into your own mail system for personal searches.
I do NOT have the time to work on this, but I am only to happy to provide my file to anyone who is willing to build a sharable archive. The raw file is 602.6mb as of today...

I have all the messages back to Jan 1, 2006. If anyone here uses the MBOX format I can export them and you could them import them to your email program. I use Thunderbird...
Unfortunately the Wayback Machine on Archive.org didn't not work with this archive...and sitesucker couldn't find anything buried in the archive.org files. Archive.org 's copy of the markmail site showed it went back to 1999.

Hi Bob, the Markmail archive ceased to exist in 2023, which is a shame. Some folks on here do have access to previous posts, but maybe it's better to let us know what you are looking for.
I'm sure someone here can provide answers.
Sure wish we could create a new archive. Such a wealth of info shouldn't just disappear!
