Hi Tony, I used a Simpson 260 analog ohm meter and a digital meter on the magazine detent switch with wires off Both showed intermittent noisy contact on the normally closed contacts. The normally open contacts tested with a sold contact at near zero ohms. I've ordered that switch. Dean

Did you remove the common wires from the switch to test it?
Did you use a beeping continuity tester or an ohm meter to test it?

Nigel, Thank you so much for the directions on the search unit disassembly. It went very well. I checked both switches on the stopping switch assembly and they both tested solidly good. I also checked continuity between the switch terminals and lands on the disk and the reset coils and disk lands. All tested okay. Just to be sure, I re-soldered the wire connections from those units to the disk and then cleaned the disk lands thoroughly. The magazine detent switch gave an intermittent flakey ohm reading on the NC terminals. Moving the NC terminal around caused an intermittent open. I cleaned it up and reinstalled and the stop pin still skips over a selected pin without starting the transfer motor. I've ordered a new switch and will install it when it arrives in the next ten days and I hope this clears up the issue. Thanks again, Nigel, your directions were very clear and gave me the confidence to tackle that part of the machine I'd never had apart before. I'll let you know what happens next when I receive the new micro-switch. Dean
