Had a call today from a gentleman who said he added a stepper and wall

to his DS160.
The wall box selects perfectly but now when making a selection directly from the juke both alpha and numeric buttons stay latched down and
nothing
happens.
He disconnected the wall box but the juke buttons still stay latched
down.
I have to say this is a new one on me so I’m throwing it out to the group for consideration.

Hi Rick,
This is a Stepper relay or Start Switch issue. When the stepper is active it shuts down the jukebox selection ability until the stepper has finished dealing with the reception and transcription to the tormat.
I believe that the Star Switch is the first suspect. Followed by the Timing Relay contacts. One of these has a set of contacts that look closed but are not making an electrical connection so the keyboard Write-In can occur.
