Hi Jamie,
I don't know if you can use a G80 motor on the E80. It's likely that you probably can if you also have the G80 idler wheel and it's brackets etc. But that is a guess.
However, assuming your current motor has been disassembled and cleaned and lubricated correctly, and it is running at the correct speed and not getting hot or slowing down, and also assuming you are not in the UK and using the American 60hz motor on our 50hz mains supply, why don't you increase the diameter of the motor shaft ever so slightly ? Experiment doing it with a piece of tape wrapped around the spindle until you get the desired speed, and then when you do, consider a more permanent solution.
Regards,
Nigel uk.

Hello all, I posted this a couple of weeks ago. Did anyone see it?
Hello all,
Just a quick question. Does anyone know or has anyone ever used a G-80 turntable motor on a E-80 mechanism. I have an E-80 and the belts just cause it to be a shade slower than 45 rpms records to play slow. I wondered if they would fit the same on the mechanism. I'm trying to get away from the belts and go with a direct motor. Just wanted to ask...any thoughts? If not, any thoughts on how to get the belts to not play a shade slower on the turntable motor. As always, thanks for your help.
Jamie
