I'm not so sure about the later models, but here is a scenario you could check. When credit is established, the key switch activates timing relay 1. This relay has interlocking contacts to hold it in. In series with these interlocking contacts is another set of contacts on the pulse relay. These contacts should open at the selection pulse, which would normally release the timing relay. So if the pulse relay contacts were not opening (or the wiring to them are shorted), the timing relay will not release once the credit is used up. Only after powering down will the timing relay release, thus opening the interlocking contacts. It would be good to set to "standard" single pricing to eliminate issues that may exist with dual pricing. If you have the Golden Bar, I would disconnect that as well. Let us know what you find. … Only the continuous credit issue remains. Whether via coin or slide-switch on the keyboard assy, credit is continuous. If the coin credit is still valid, re-powering brings it back. However, for slide-switch credit and continuous credit after coin amount is utilised, the credit disappears after the machine is re-powered.
Many thanks!

Many thanks Rich!
It previously worked correctly, but rested for a bit. I thought I felt a little play with the record carrier in the opposite direction, so will get down to cleaning the pawls.
The record changer still looks clean and lubricated. Thanks again. Much appreciated. Saves me time.

Is this a machine that has previously worked correctly...then stopped; or never worked correctly since you have had it?
Not sure why the single credit switch would keep the solenoids energized unless they were pretty close in the first place.
As far as playing opposites....that sounds like a back stop pawl either misaligned or sticking. I made a video and demonstrated cleaning these. You want them clean and dry...no oil. Here's a link. https://youtu.be/mP0Pq83IEl4
Regardless of what I say in the video...the stop pawl on the left back....is for the lift arm on the left side...and right back pawl is for the right lift arm. I might have misstated this in the video. Hope it helps.
Pin canceling....seems the crank arm doesn't want to overtravel. Could be a sticky crank arm. I defer to the manual and others with wayyyyy more experience than me.
Good luck

Rich et al,
I played around with switches and relays. It will now load and play out records.
Selection Issues: When i use the slideswitch behind the keyboard assy, instead of getting a single credit, the credit lamp stays on for continuous credit.
When I select B3, I get M4 first, which is opposite and then B3. T5 => H6 (opposite) and then T5.
J8 => J8 J6 => J6
When I was pushing pins manually at the back, the crank did not always cancel the pin. After cancelling, instead of moving past the pin, the crank tip stayed behind the pin. So if the pin is not cancelled, it gets played again.
I am hesitant to start making adjustments as per the manual, given that it was properly adjusted before. Is there anything I can do to free up things manually? If i make adjustments and it starts to work, i think i will have to re-adjust again.
Grateful for advice.
Thank you

Hi Rich,
No, I didn’t start any work as yet. Thanks a lot for your guidance. Much appreciated. I did not want to fiddle unnecessarily.
I will report back on the findings.

Were you ever able to get this issue sorted? Sounds like something in the trip circuit is intermittent. Checked the trip switch(behind the mech shroud) or maybe the start switch....I think it's one of the ones stacked on the crank arm. Also, possibly a misadjusted transfer switch?

Am looking at a WurliTzer 2900 that was not used for about a year.
When I make a selection, it loads and immediately unloads at several intervals before reaching the raised selector pin. Then it continues to load and unload without being able to press down and cancel the pin. At no time the record will play out.
Grateful for some guidance to start => will save me time to troubleshoot this from scratch.
Thank you
