Does anyone have a fairly easy way to pull the buttons so I can glue them on again? I don't have one, but I'm going to order and try a computer keyboard button puller. I don't know if it will be strong enough.
I've never had mine apart, but I'd be really careful with this plan.
As far as I know, and as far as I can see looking, the blade/spring that travels between the normaly open and normally closed contacts is the only thing holding the button back, and is what you'll be pulling against if you try to pull the buttons off the front. Bending or breaking that would probably be a step backwards from where you're at right now.
Lots of rivets in there too; I'm not sure disassembly is an option, at least without a ton of effort.
I have a few buttons that stick out a bit, but I've never had one fly off. Though I have heard about it here many times. Looking forward to hearing how the repair goes for you!
