David C. Rockola (the original!) did sell out to Antique Apparatus in the early 90s (I have the announcement in a back issues of various trade magazines somewhere - might have been a cover story on PlayMeter or Replay) as I assume he felt that was the only way to keep the Rockola name going.
They've done fairly well since then using the Rockola mechanism (licence free!) in their machines.

Their latest goof is a big one. On the parts link they have a background picture of an Antique Apparatus juke with the Rowe-AMI mech! Good one! I don't know how long it's been like that, just noticed it today.
