AMI Amplifier?

Hello all, I recently rebuilt my AMI G-80 amplifier. I replaced all the capacitors and Ive noticed that I am getting a little humming from my speaker and a little squelchy noise from time to time when my records play. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks as always Jamie

Hi Jamie, I'm not as technically proficient as you are with your video attachment but I think that I can help you. I have an article from Harold Hagen aka Dr. Know-it-all titled "1949 AMI C doesn't return record to magazine". I'd be happy to email that to you if you reach out to me at my email address. In my rather lame AMI Model A service manual, there's a "cycle of operation" chapter that would be really helpful to you. You'll then have a roadmap of the order of operation in the system so that you can electrically check each part. For you non-AMI folks, it'll most likely be the reversing control relay in the junction box. [8^) Good luck! Seeburg R Selection Receiver question

A customer brought me his 3W1 and selection receiver stating that making selections via the wallbox were intermittent at best. On the receiver the original cap had been removed from circuit and replaced with two 10uf 450vdc lytic caps wired in parallel. I have not had a lot of interaction with wallbox installation but my question is regarding the replacement cap(s) Shouldn’t that be a 5.0 uf 370vac type? Thanks Rick

These jukes are very collectible. The machine plays great, sounds great but has trouble playing more than one selection in sequence. I am reluctantly selling it for $2500 because I bought it to be the focal point for an after hours club... then along came Covid! It is stocked with 80 45s, mostly classic jukebox tunes. Plus I have 42 45s 36 in original paper jackets: The Stones, Beatles, Yoko Ono, CCR, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, Bee Gees, Moody Blues, Elvis, Del Shannon, The Kinks, The Dead, Smokey Robinson, Roy Orbison, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Zombies, Elton John and others. 3 without a jacket: incl 1 Gordon Lightfoot, 1 Epic demo 45 (one side only): Cheap Trick 1 1967 "Canada" Centennial 45 by the Young Canadian Singers (bi-lingual!). All of this for $2500!
