Seeburg G Hum

Working on a 100G. Both of the mute switches are working well. The problem is that when the record starts to play, if it take a little while to get into the song, I hear a hum in the speaker, when the song starts, the hum gets mostly hidden by the music. The same thing happens at the end of the song before it cancels and closes the mute switch. Oh, in the beginning of the record the hums comes on slowly do to the squelch circuit. Pulling the RCA plug out of the amp yields no hum, the hum is coming from either the mech or the mech wire. I've tried shorting the two different (one at a time) mute switches and the hum goes away. Also shorted the tone are wires and again, it has no hum. Also checked continuity throughout the mute circuits and all seems fine. Thanks, Tony

AMI E120 - Selector - I'm struggling

Hello, I have an AMI E120 jukebox. My junction box is putting out approximately 38 volts. I have credits on my credit unit, the credit unit light comes on. However, none of my selection buttons work. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Does anyone have any idea or help they can offer. I'm struggling for a couple weeks with this. Thank you for your help. Jamie

Wurlitzer Lyric Flexible Drive

Hope someone can help with this question. I have recently rebuilt a Wurlitzer Lyric for a friend who dismantled it 30 years ago? The flexible drive from the number selection unit is giving me problems, it tends to twist as it drives and stops/stalls turning the toothed selection wheel. I have soaked the outer sheath of the drive with a penetrating oil but doesn't make any difference. My next step is to remove it from the keyboard and see if I can examine it more closely to see what the problem is. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. Peter Johnson.

Another APFEA1 Question

Machine has credit Make selection but the Add solenoid on play control does not fully engage to start the mech scanning. It does start manually via the service switch. I visually observed the solenoid while a helper made a selection and I could see the solenoid plunger move slightly but not enough to activate motor control switch It acts like it’s only receiving a short pulse from the button selector. Thoughts?? Regards Rick

Scope for Wurlitzer Amplifiers?

Hello, Is this a suitable scope to troubleshoot Wurlitzer amplifiers? Would a signal injector be required as well? https://www.amazon.com/Oscilloscope-Persistence-Measurement-Bandwidth-Gener… I have only done a few basic repairs and servicing, so am still a novice. MRA4-L6 Schematic

I've looked and looked for a schematic for an MRA4. What model did they come in? I think someone told me that they came in hideaway units. I did somehow find a parts list for an MRA4, and it's very close to an MRA5, I'd just like to have the proper schematic. I don't mind buying a manual, but I don't know which one. The particular one I'm working on evidently fried the power supply choke and to make up for it, they made C1 out of 3 caps to get close to 300uF. Tony
