California Hams:
A bill (S.3690) has been introduced in the U.S. Senate that would essentially override antenna restrictions for hams across the USA.
See: [ https://www.wicker.senate.gov/2024/2/senators-wicker-blumenthal-introduce-th... | https://www.wicker.senate.gov/2024/2/senators-wicker-blumenthal-introduce-th... ]
It would help to express support for this bill to our California senators.
You can go to their websites and leave a simple message (find them at senate.gov) as basic as:
“Please support S.3690”
HOWEVER- e-mail messages are usually read and tallied by low-level assistants.
From experience, I prefer to send a piece of mail, which someone has to handle. When they get a lot of mail on a topic, it can make a visual impact.
If they get a lot of QSL cards, it really attracts attention because they’re so unusual. Also – post cards aren’t delayed by security screening.
Simply get two QSL cards. Draw a line down the back. On one side goes the Senator’s address. On the other half, your request for support.
Then mail the items as post cards. It’s that easy.
See the attached example and feel free to copy the addresses from them.
Thanks & 73,
