This Sunday is the SBARC picnic. I am going to bring an HF radio and would love to have some other folks bring and set one up too. Good excuse to see if you can work HF portable.

Dave and SBARC
I think that activating HF radios at the SBARC picnic is an excellent idea, both as practice for Field Day, and for emergency operations generally.
Unfortunately, my 87 year old mother arrives today for a rare and short visit. And so, I will not be able to take the time to set-up a station myself. I will try and attend the picnic for a little while, though. And, I am happy to loan my 40-10M EFHW antenna though, Dave, if you wish to use it.

Thanks for the offer Warren! I decided to go ahead and build another EFHW and should have it together in time for the picnic.

Doubtful... my sister just called a moment ago and may be having 80th birthday party for my mom that day so I don't know my schedule yet. There is a chance it'll get pushed but I have a project due next week so my work days this week are super long so tough to get anything together at this point.
