The FCC announced recently that it has retired the legacy CORES system and is instructing licensees to migrate to a new email-account-based system. The ARRL Letter today discusses this.
Has anyone tried migrating their FRN over to the new FCC CORES system? I didn't have any issues creating the new email/username-based account and associating my FRN. However, I can't seem to do much else. What is the system supposed to do? It looks like most of the functions that I would ever need to use – like renewing a license or changing my address – remain in the FRN-account-based ULS anyway. And that system is still accessible, as of today.

I made the switch about 2 weeks ago. No problem. However, as you found there is not much you can do. I np longer see my GMRS license information now, only Ham info.

Me too. No GMRS info shown in my CORES either. Just my amateur license. Weird. I can still login to ULS, though. And that is the only place I ever really managed my licenses anyway.
