SBARC Field Day

SBARC Members, We still need operators for Field Day. We also need help setting up and taking down. Setup is Friday, June 24, starting at 11 am. Field Day operation starts Saturday morning at 11 am and runs to Sunday morning at 11. The location is Elings Park. Please note that we are located at the east part of Elings, near the hang gliders. This location is accessible from Cliff Drive or Flora Vista to Calle Montilla. We would like to have a bbq / potluck on Sunday at 5 PM. Since we can't cook in Elings, we will hold it next to Elings at Escondido Park (take Cliff Drive to Flora Vista). Please indicate your availability for Field Day and let me know if you will attend the bbq. 73, Tom Saunders N6YX

I really can't believe that anybody would want the following, but before I dispose of them: I have quite a few 5.25 inch floppies (yes, remember? they flop!) containing assorted early DOS programs and data. While redistributing the junque in my shack I realized I don't even have a computer with an old floppy drive anymore. SBARC Saturday Morning Breakfast

Hi everyone, A recent Question of the Week for the club net asked what people thought about having a Saturday morning breakfast once a month. Everyone thought it was a good idea so we are going to give it a try. Dennis Schwendtner, WB6OBB, and his wife JoAnn, KA6RPN, will host this first breakfast. The details are: When: Saturday, June 4th, 2005 Time: 8:00 AM Where: Cody's Restaurant (in the shopping plaza at the corner of Turnpike and Hollister.) Who: Club members/family/friends Cost: Depends on what you order :) If you are planning on attending, please either email or phone Dennis to let him know. Not having any idea of how many people would attend, we made the initial reservation for 10 people, but we can easily increase that number as long as we know ahead of time.
