Santa Barbara Video Streams

Hello SBARC Members and Friends, For those who haven't viewed the Santa Barbara video streams, here's how. * Browse to the www.batc.tv <http://www.batc.tv/> website * Click on ATV Repeaters (or Members Streams) * Click WB9KMO-ATN or W6ATN (or WB9KMO or K6TZ-SBARC) * Click View Stream * As a courtesy, please enter /nick yourcallsign in the white box and press enter (or Submit) * Feel free to enter Chat messages to communicate with others on the site (note the international viewers) My BATC WB9KMO-ATN video stream is back on 24x7. You can put the link back on the www.atn-tv.org <http://www.atn-tv.org/> website if you're inclined. We show SBARC Club Station activity on Saturday mornings and Tuesday nights as well as other live ATV and ATN repeater activity. I might start showing the movie of the week again at 8pm Tuesdays when I get my higher power TX on the air (hopefully soon). Check out the BATC WB9KMO Members site that is now up most of the time. This is streamed over Wi-Fi from the ATV repeater site and is pretty (but not entirely) stable. It shows the repeater equipment with a monitor on all the time. I can remotely move the camera to show other parts of the transmitter room. I'm working on the BATC K6TZ-SBARC Members site. It's currently streaming over Wi-Fi from the ATV Repeater location. The stream drops out occasionally and I need to resolve that somehow. I'm adding a tower cam at the ATV repeater site soon and will probably use this stream to test it. Don't know what the site will be used for in the future, but hope we can use it for SBARC activities, including club meetings. 73, Rod Fritz, WB9KMO

Motorola RKR1225 repeater help, please!

Hello friends... Since you all know more hams in "the business" than I'll ever know, I was hoping that you could spread the word on this, please! I've searched the internet and have come up with nothing that is helpful. We [Valley Center C.E.R.T] are looking for the software and instructions for this out dated repeater. It's in good shape and we certainly could use this repeater in our community for ECOMM. We are a 501 C-3 organization, so we haven't got a lot of ca$h, but for the help we need, we would "pass the hat" for the right party. So many thanks for taking the time to help us in this endeavor! WTD: Simpsom 260 VOM

I'm in dire need of a Simpson 260......The meter movement needs to be good, dead batteries, etc, are OK. For the 1st time (I think) I sold a piece of equipment that I don't have....i.e., Keith Coulter's estate had many Simpson 260's, but it seems that the guy that bought the 60-80 cubic feet of vacuum tubes, etc, took the 260's home with him. 25 August 2012 To: SBARC list From: Bill Talanian A big step forward was reached this week as Kevin Hess from Search & Rescue and Bill Theeringer, W8PEY, installed a 4 ft 34 db parabolic reflector at our Mesa site. The parabolic is pointed at Santa Ynez Peak (SYP) and will be the first leg of an independent 5.8 GHz multi-purpose wide-band system interconnecting SBARC remote repeater sites. The SYP side will be a similar parabolic which is scheduled for installation on September 3. A second link will be installed from the Mesa site to Gibraltar Peak where the system will interconnect with a high speed Internet connection. The Mesa site will intertie all of the present SBARC services such as IRLP, weather, video, APRS, and telephone to one common high-speed service with Internet connectivity for system control. The Santa Ynez Peak system will act as a node for many services including access by Search & Rescue into their simulcast hub for system maintenance. Further uses are currently in the mill and we shall report these milestones as we move forward.
