A Cush craft three elements beam for 12 and 17 m. I also have higher frequency antennas. I have all the manuals for the this package. I am told, the **value would be 2500 plus**, but because I had two operations. I can no longer keep my equipment in storage. because my Social Security has been eaten up by my medical bill. I can no longer pay my $25 a month for storage fees. I owe them $175 back payments. So I'm going to let everything go for **$950.oo**. **They have a forklift. So they can put it on a truck. Bill Lakes Ameritron AL-80B Amplifier

Hi Gang: Nobody even looked at this amplifier at the Earl Warren Swapmeet, but I thought I would offer it one more time before the swapmeet in Chino Hills this Saturday (9/19/09). This amplifier is brand new, never been used, until I installed the 3-500Z tube in it to insure that everything worked OK. This is a 160-10 meter linear amplifier, and Ameritron says it puts out 1,000 watts output (PEP), or 800 watts output on CW. "Ham Operating" Overseas?

Hello All, My wife and I are planning a vacation to New Zealand & Australia sometime early next year for several weeks. I won't be taking my 775DSP with me[!], but I would like to take my h/t along, just for the experience. I have never done this before; if you have, either on a vacation or through a DXpedition, I'd very much like to hear from you! I made a DX contact on 15 meters, back in March of 2008 to New Zealand, ZM4A. I would very much like to see their contest station and will contact them before I go! Any suggestions on what I should do...and not do to prepare for this? If I do work any HF, it'll probably be from someone's QTH. All thoughts and recommendations will be most gratefully received. Location of 223.920 MHz, 127.3 PL repeater?

Hello All, During our Wednesday and Thursday evening nets, I have just recently been hearing QSO's "behind" our own on 223.920 MHz. I am totally reliant on tropo ducting in order to access the Santa Cruz Island repeater during nets from May through September. I've been working 220 MHz since May, so I have no idea what to anticipate this winter! From my QTH, I can hit the 224.420 MHz, 156.7 Bakersfield repeater when the tropo is in! Bakersfield is almost 200 miles NNE from me. As it is, Santa Cruz Island is about 165 miles NW. This last Thursday on the "Technical Elmering Net", I distinctly heard the automated repeater I.D. note that the PL was "...127.3". With our "talk-over", I was unable to get the callsign of said repeater. I've gone through my 2008-2009 ARRL Repeater Book, as well as searching the states of Arizona, Nevada & Idaho for a 223.920 AND 127.3 PL without joy. I have also gone through the "Google" search with the repeater freq and the PL without success. I have gone through my normal "220 MHz Spectrum Management Association" list, as well as the W6JPL 220 list and have not found a 223.920 with a 127.3 PL! Does anyone have a more comprehensive list of 220 repeaters from which to draw info? Does anyone in the S.B. area hear this repeater also? Can anyone identify it? Wait! A thought just occured to me... Since the 220 repeaters are linked by the 146.790 MHz frequency, could it be another 2 meter repeater I am hearing "through" 146.790 MHz? Looking for a Nice Ham Shack...

Hello Fellow Hams, Actually, I'm looking for a nice place to live with a nice ham shack for at least myself and possibly two or three others (mature, not all hams). I'd like to rent a couple of rooms or a house, potentially with an option to buy. I'll need to use an existing tower or be able to add one. Hoping for an excellent radio location with line of sight to Gibraltar Road radio sites and ideally, most other repeater sites in the area. All offers will be seriously considered. I want something suitable enough so I can stay for a good long time. I'm pretty flexible on the living arrangement and the rent. Sadly, Mack Stanton, KD6NBZ, passed away last evening from complications of ALS. Mack was an active member of SBARC and was Chairman of Key-Klix for a period of time. He was also active with ARES and the SB County Sheriff's Aero Squadron. Mack is survived by his wife Judy.

Pier to Peak run

Pier to Peak Run Sunday 6 September 2009 Winner 614 did the half marathon 13 mile run from the Santa Barbara Pier to La Cumbre Peak in 1:35 minutes. La Cumbre is 3996' ft high. SBARC's own Rick Whitaker, KG6VLB, Operations Manager is seen at the right as the runner finishes. SBARC supplied the event communications.
