With respect to the last problem, I was told that folks got complaints from remote IRLP sites that our controller was transmitting IDs on IRLP. This should definitely not occur! I could not reproduce the problem nor really tell how it could occur, so please let me know if anyone gets further complaints.

There have been reports of some users attempting to cross-link the 2m and 440 radios using dual-band handhelds. This would cause the 2m ID, courtesy tone, etc. to be dumped onto the 440 radio and the IRLP link. We should, IMNSHO, strongly discourage this as a matter of policy. Similarly, any attemt to cross-link other SBARC systems to IRLP needs to address the issue of remote IDs and the like polluting the link.
