Tomorrow morning's (November 10) launch of an Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg SFB appears to be on schedule. The following is a media update from the United Launch Alliance:
Everything is progressing toward the ULA Atlas V launch carrying the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS)-2 mission for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA’s Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator (LOFTID). The mission is set to lift off on Thurs., Nov. 10 from Space Launch Complex-3 at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The launch time is 1:25 a.m. PST. Today’s forecast shows a greater than 90 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for launch.

The ULA Atlas V (the last Atlas V from VAFB!) actually launched this morning (a little late), lifting off at 1:49 a.m. PST. Mission appears to have been successful including the test re-entry tech demo experiment.
