The new USFS 100 ft tower for Santa Ynez Peak has now arrived. The semi arrived yesterday and parked at 101 and Refugio Road. The load had to be transferred to a shorter truck to make it to SYP. A crane will arrive today and lift the components into place. The tower erection will be finished in three working days. Due to limited logistics the present ARES antennas will not be reused. All new coax, connectors, and antennas will be installed. Complete cut-over should be expected within the next few weeks. We shall be working with the tower crew until the task is done.
